It’s always really fun and endearing to receive a staged family Christmas card from people you know well.

But one festive family portrait that was sent around to their loved ones is so out there that it’s made its way onto Reddit’s trashy section – and rightly so.

The location isn’t unusual – the family is positioned in front of the fireplace with all three boys sitting on the ground with their arms around each other joyously laughing.

So far – so good, right?

The dad is sitting on the ledge of the fireplace, wearing a Santa hat and doing the ‘ssshh’ motion with his finger.

But here’s the clanger - his pants are down and his wife, who is also wearing a festive red and white hat, has her back to the camera and his pretending to perform a sexual act on her beloved partner.

After the parents being very satisfied with the image they captured, they then got the risqué card printed with the message, “Hope your holidays don’t blow!”

The woman who shared the disturbing image revealed the dad’s occupation.

“This actually came from a friend’s financial advisor. I said that ‘if that came from my financial advisor I’d be finding a new one pronto’,” she said.

It goes without saying that fellow Redditors were outraged by the highly inappropriate photo.

Many were incredulous as to how on earth the couple ever thought that the Xmas card would be perceived as humorous.

“I hate when people force their sex life on other people, especially with children involved. How is this funny?” one questioned.

“Why combine family and Christmas and a greeting card with a lame sex joke? The two adults both thought this was a good idea,” another queried.

Outrage ensues over X-rated family Christmas card

While one person commented on how it will affect the kids’ metal health when they’re older.

“The next 20 years of therapy will be interesting,” they said.

Some were of the belief that other parents will never want to drop their kids off at the family’s home after viewing the disconcerting picture.

“Well, that's an efficient way of making sure nobody lets their kids to come to your home.”

Others even questioned if the highly-inappropriate photograph was illegal.

“Is it even legal to explicitly depict that activity in the same photo as kids?”
