‘You’re ruining Wren's life and this time I have real proof’

“She's gonna have a pornstar reputation before she even gets to school, even if her mum thinks she's not being harmed now.”

13 year old speaks out about being groomed by a man

Last month, I wrote about finding a TikTok account of a young mum sharing content of her three-year-old daughter.

Seems innocent, right?

I mean, who doesn’t love grabbing their phone out and snapping up adorable pictures of their kids doing something cute?

Well, it seems that Wren Eleanor's mum has ulterior motives - despite the internet's warnings. But now, someone has proof that she finally might consider about the harm being caused to her daughter- and countless others.

Who is Wren Eleanor?

What seems pretty standard upon a glance at the account, it’s not until you click on one of the hundreds of videos that something seems amiss.

The videos include a gorgeous little girl eating sushi, shaking her hips while blowing kisses, as well as a video of Wren asking repeatedly for a ‘sucker’ lollypop or another of her eating a hot dog at a local fair.

Then of course there's the video of her saying, "I swallowed it" - talking about her gum.

As a mum of a daughter myself, it makes me cringe to think that not only is this mother filming such sexually suggestive content, but that she’s posting it to a public forum for the world to see blows my mind.

Wren’s mum speaks out

Wren’s mum, Jacquelyn, took to her account recently to post a message to those calling into question her morals and ethics behind her posting.

In the video, Jacquelyn says she began posting videos of her daughter to create a digital scrapbook for her to cherish, but it quickly became a means of supporting her family financially as a single, stay-at-home mum.

She talks about this idea of a ‘conspiracy theory spiraling out of control’ that her daughter’s images could be used by sexual predators as grooming tools was unfounded, and mentions she spoke to government bodies like the FBI to confirm this.

She encourages viewers, “If anyone has any real tangible proof”, to contact the authorities.

“I have real, tangible proof”

Whether you have proof or not is a totally separate issue, and even the potential of someone taking any aspect of your child’s identity should be terrifying enough.

However (and with no surprise, unfortunately), a video by @daniellesadvocacy, a children’s sexual assault victim and advocate, has recently put the spotlight on the obvious and detrimental dangers of Wren’s account.

Danielle reveals in the video that she was contacted by a thirteen-year-old girl who said she was abused by a man who used images of Wren to groom her.

The video shows a screenshot of the text from the young girl who wrote, “I was groomed a while back by a man much older than me (I'm currently 13)...but one thing he would make me do is he would send me images of Wren… and ask me if I could "pretend to be this little girl” [but] I denied every time.

“I remember the photos vividly… It was Wren [wearing] nothing but overalls. no shirt or anything,” she also wrote.

Danielle began questioning Jacquelyn’s concern for her daughter when a 13-year-old stranger was more worried about Wren’s safety than her own mother.

You’re ruining your child’s life

It is an enormous statement to say that a parent is doing something that could potentially ruin a child’s life, especially judging solely on social media, but from where I’m sitting, it’s looking pretty dire.

Once something is posted online, it’s impossible to trace where it ends up, and this poor little girl will have these videos out there forever.

Not only are there the dangers of what these videos and images could do in the hands of the wrong people, but what about when Wren starts school?

“Who is gonna bloody invite poor Wren to their kindergarten parties?” asked mum of one, Nama.

“She's gonna have a pornstar reputation before she even gets to school, and it doesn't matter that her mum doesn't think she's being harmed now,” she added.

Father of two, Lucas also said, “If I found out my one of my kids was friends with someone like Wren, there’s no way in hell they’d be going anywhere near that house without me around.”

And Antonia, a mother of three boys, added, “This mum is making her daughter a social pariah, and this poor little girl has no idea or say in any of it.

“I understand single parents will do what they can to help support their kids and their futures, but this is just gross.”

The ongoing dangers

According to the BBC, with smartphones in hand as early as age 10, kids face adult-like responsibilities sooner, experiencing a phenomenon termed 'KGOY' (kids getting older younger).

This shift in childhood is driven by increased exposure to adult content and communication through technology, leading some to worry about kids growing up too fast.

They also stated there are dangers associated with growing up too fast.

Exposure to adult content at a young age can desensitise children and expose them to cyberbullying or adult conversations they are ill-equipped to handle.

This premature exposure can hinder emotional development and lead to heightened stress levels.

Despite the millions of warnings from around the globe, Jacquelyn is either totally delusional or sees dollar signs over safety.

Heck, the poor kid even has a hashtag dedicated to her #savewren!

I hope for Wren, her mum stops this dangerous account, and she’s able to get the help and support she needs when older to navigate through the potential impacts it will have on her life.
