'When I picked her up, she was completely bald': Grandma goes rogue with shaver

"What can I do now? Even if I fight my mum, the hair isn't coming back," the woman said as she posted before and after photos.

It was supposed to be a regular weekend, with Tawana's toddler spending time with her grandmother.

But what happened when the mum went to pick her up was far from what routine.

To her surprise, she discovered that her own mother had taken the liberty of shaving her daughter's head...leaving her completely bald.

"Just great"

In a now-viral TikTok video (17 million views and counting), Tawan shared the striking before and after pictures of her daughter, River. 

In the first photo, pre-drop off, we see River in red rights, a white dress and perfectly styled hair. 

In the background, the TikTok 'Oh no' sound is playing, so we know what comes next...

The second clip shows River smiling in her car seat, this time, with a bald head. 

"Just great," the p**sed-off mum captioned the clip.

"Oh, I'd be in jail"

Reading the 32.2k comments, it's clear that everyone is equally as outraged and confused as the mum.

"Why do grandparents do this?!" one person asked.

Another joked that they would seek revenge: "Oh, I'd be in jail."

"She will never go over again," chimed in a third. 

Then someone else admitted, "I screamed so loud. I thought her hair was just going to be messy like she played too hard at grandma's house. I would lose my mind."

After others requested a storytime, Tawana finally uploaded the full backstory. 

The backstory behind the video

"I'm still in disbelief," she began. "Why, why, why?"

She then explains that her daughter "had a full set of hair when she was born."

"It was perfect and her hair would GROW," she added.

Tawana continued: "I dropped her off at my mum's house, normal routine, she goes there every weekend.

"I then get a text in the group chat and they've sent me a video of a child, that looks like my child, getting their head shaved! I'm so confused.

"I go pick her up. I'm so angry. I don't know what to do, I'm like hyperventilating and crying. 

"I came out of the car fast and River is just smiling at me, she loves that her hair is bald, the breeze on her head, you know.  

"I didn't have a go at my mum because I was just in disbelief. What can I do now? Even if I fight my mum, the hair isn't coming back."
