Teenage girl killed in horror e-scooter crash in Northern Queensland

A 15-year-old was killed after colliding with multiple vehicles on Monday afternoon. 

A 15-year-old has died following a horrific collision involving a 4WD, a motorbike and an e-scooter.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Bruce Highway in North Queensland shortly after 5pm on Monday after reports of a collision between an e-scooter and a Mitsubishi Pajero.

Teen killed in horror e-scooter crash

It’s understood a 15-year-old girl was riding the e-scooter on the intersection of Deeragan Road and the Bruce Highway before colliding with a Mitsubishi Pajero. 

Police believe the e-scooter then crashed into the motorbike.

The 15yo girl riding the e-scooter from Townsville was declared dead at the scene.

A statement from the Queensland Police confirmed the motorbike rider, a 65yo man from Ingham, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the 4WD, a 46o woman, was not injured in the crash. 

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the colllision.
