Is it ever okay to use a filter that adds make-up and enhances facial features on a child?

That’s the question parents are debating after Khloe Kardashian used an extreme face filter on her niece Chicago that made her look much older than her age.

Her father Kanye West slammed the photos in a since deleted post, writing his four-year-old was “too grown looking” for a little girl, the US Sun reported.

Many parents have agreed with the Yeezy designer, arguing it is “too much” in a Reddit thread discussing the controversial topic.

Khloe, 37, faced heat from fans for sharing a string of filtered selfies with sister Kim’s youngest child daughter.

In the first picture, the reality star and her tiny niece both pursed their lips into a kiss while buckled into the car.

In the second, Chi can be seen with a big beaming smile as her aunt continued with the kissy-face.

Many commented that the little girl’s lips “looked unnaturally large”, speculating Khloe had used an extreme makeup filter on the photos.

In both snaps, Chicago appears to be wearing purple eye shadow and has thick eyelashes as a result of a filter.

“I love to see koko spending time w her nieces but a shame she has to use filters when taking pics with them,” one ranted.

“It’s a bit much,” another agreed, while a third added: “Just disgusting.”

“Khloe’s obsession with putting filters on the kids drives me nuts,” another added.

“Too much period. Sickening,” someone else chipped in.

Some reasoned she could have accidentally applied the filter to her niece when she meant to only use it on herself – as others grappled with why having pursed, plumped lips was deemed more attractive in the first place.

Kanye shared both photos of his daughter on his own Instagram, captioning the post: “These pics are too grown looking for my little girl.”

Many were quick to condemn Kanye – who battles with mental health issues – for sharing the snaps if he was unhappy with them, the US Sun reported.

In addition to Chicago, Kanye and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, 41, share three other kids: daughter North, 8; and sons Saint, 6, and Psalm, 2.
