Nina Young on the moment she found out her father is a murderer
This week we’re joined by journalist Nina Young, host of one of the most popular podcasts in the country right now, My Father The Murderer, she’s opened up about the day she found out the worst secret imaginable. All her life, Nina had known her father was a bad man. But when she turned 26, she found out just how bad. Before Nina was born, her father killed a woman and was sentenced to life in prison. It was there that he met Nina’s mother. Nina tells us what it was like making that discovery, and why she shared her story with the world.Plus, keeping up with the changes to childcare and all the plans and proposals can be more exhausting than having a newborn. The latest proposal to make headlines has come from the Shorten Labor Government who has promised families access to free or subsidised preschool for children as young as three –IF they win at the next federal election. So how will it work? We’re joined by Shadow Minister for Early Childhood Education and Development Amanda Rishworth to talk it through.SHOW NOTESYour hosts are Mel Wilson and Cassie Hamer with special guest Giles Hardie and our huge thanksto Justine Clarke. This podcast was produced by Sinead Barrett and Nina Young. We’ve got a bit of a favour to ask; we’d love you to Subscribe to The Juggling Act in your podcast app and leave us a review.
