My childbirth was so humiliating that my family told me to never tell anyone

"I was terrified I was going to poop when I was pushing my baby out, but my mum and my fiancé swear I didn’t..."

Woman's childbirth was so humiliating her family warned her not to share it

A mum has taken to TikTok to share the very story her family urged her never to share with anyone.

It’s about the day she gave birth to her son.

@linsmakeuplooks begins her clip by saying it wasn’t a particularly hard labour, but there was a certain incident that left her red-faced.

'But what is so taboo that people have told her never to tell a soul about?' you say.

Let us find out, shall we?

The mortifying moment during childbirth

Lindsey explains that after she was induced at nine months, the nurse told her she had a small window where she could eat all the foods she pleased before having to, you know, push the baby out.

So, she went straight to her comfort foods and ordered pizza and boneless chicken wings - standard, delicious stuff.

However, what no one told her was that eating fatty foods like this right before giving birth can have some... rather unpleasant consequences.

"I was terrified that I was going to poop when I was pushing my baby out and my mum and my fiancé swear up and down that I didn’t," she said.

"I had a really strong epidural so I could not feel or control a thing down below, which I was grateful for but also, as soon as the epidural hit it was nonstop farting."

Lindsey shared that she was tooting so much, that it was one of the most “embarrassing moments of my life.”

Jeez, that must have been some gas.

And it didn’t stop after her baby was born either, much to the disappointment of those in the room with her.

As she was getting stitched up and her son was being tended to, the room was apparently filled by a "loud ripping sound."

"I don’t know why but my mind told me that my muscle ripped so I asked, ‘What is that noise?’" the mum said, holding back giggles.

"The doctor replied, ‘Oh, well I think you just passed some gas.’"

"I was terrified thinking something went extremely wrong and the doctor had to inform me that it was, in fact, me farting,” she concluded her clip.

"We're all human"

Down in the comments, people were more than sympathetic to the mum.

“I farted so much too haha. I couldn’t feel them coming out at all,” one woman wrote.

Another said, “It's okay friend. I got so nervous during my pap smear that I ripped one in her face. No epidural… just shame.”

“As a nurse, I promise everyone farts… so much. It’s okay. We’re all human,” another viewer assured.
