After she called out sick, one woman's boss brought a whole new meaning to overbearing.

The restaurant employee likened her manager's bizarre behaviour to something out of a fever dream.

In her video, Mish (@mishyymbabyy) recounted how her former boss made a huge overstep when she called out of work one day.

The TikToker explained that she had been working in the service industry at the time and lived 15 minutes away from the restaurant.

"One morning, I woke up and I was feeling like complete s**t," she told her followers.

"I had a stomach bug and I decided to call out of work that day, I called my boss and he said, ‘OK, whatever, that’s fine, bye.'"

Mish returned to her bed for a nap while her roommate went outside to give her some peace while he played his guitar.

Since he was only in the garden, her roommate left the front door unlocked.

While he was playing his music in the back garden, Mish's boss pulled up to her house.

"My boss claims that he knocked on the door and nobody answered so he just felt if the doorknob was unlocked and pushed the door open and came in," she explained.

"He claims he said my name a few times, walked around, didn’t see me or hear me so he went upstairs."

Mish recalled waking up and seeing her boss standing at the foot of her bed waving at her.

Her employer explained that he wanted to offer her a ride to work since she was feeling unwell.

"I literally thought I was having a fever dream when I finally came to I asked ‘What are you doing? I’m not coming to work, this is crazy,'" she said.

Mish told her viewers that her boss left and ended up laying her off a few weeks later over an unrelated issue.

"I'm forever haunted by this interaction," she joked in the caption of another clip where she reenacted the scenario.

Her followers shared their thoughts on the situation in the comments section.

"How did I know this was the restaurant industry before you even started the story?" wrote one viewer.

"That’s an immediate quitting, followed by a police report and maybe a lawsuit. Change of locks, maybe moving house. No. Nope. Never," said another TikTok user.

"I had a manager who would also show up at your house if you called out for a reason she deemed 'not good enough,'" commented a third person.
