"Do you want a possessed baby? Because that's how you get a possessed baby."

Mum's surprising place to find a baby name will shock you

A mum has ignited debate online with her unconventional method of choosing a name for her unborn daughter.

Haley Brooks Hodge, a TikTok influencer with over 114,000 followers, recently shared her unique approach, which many have found quite 'creepy.'

In a candid clip that has gained more than two million views, Haley, a pregnant mum-of-three, revealed her plan to find the perfect name for baby number four.

Haley is in a flowing pink dress and is proudly showing off her baby bump as she walks through a grassy area, stopping to pose by a sign that indicates where she is —"The Old Smithville Burying Ground."

The text on the video reads, "When cemeteries hold the prettiest names, so you take the family to look for a baby girl's name."

The unique approach to finding baby names

The clip then shows Haley's family wandering among the tombstones, reading various names aloud.

Haley explains to her kids, "We're trying to find sissy's name. That's a big thing, and we can show her how we found her name."

As the family meanders around the cemetery, they toss up names such as James, Julian, Fisher, Ella, and Galloway.

Haley also shares a historical tidbit, panning the camera over some cement structures and explaining, "Did you know families used to come to cemeteries to have a picnic with their loved ones? These are made to be a table."

Back to the task at hand, Haley continues on her quest for a name and comes across Salem, Bunny, Winnie, Vienna, and Olympus.

The video has sparked thousands of comments, with viewers divided over Haley's method.

In one camp, many found the idea unsettling.

One viewer wrote, "I couldn't walk into a place of death when I'm creating a new life."

Another commented, "10 years later, we get a horror movie based on a true story."

A third person stated, "I'm sorry, but I find it a little creepy," while someone else warned, "Do you want a possessed baby? Because that's how you get a possessed baby."

Another wrote: "Love this. I hope people walk by my child and say her name. I can't stop crying. Oh goodness, I hope so."

"This is honestly beautiful. What a way to honour those that have passed," a third agreed.
