“Minimum education: masters degree, five professional references,” read a job ad posted recently to Facebook.
If you think it’s for a high-salary, white collar role, you're wrong.
The ad is for a babysitter, and the list of requirements has been called “ridiculous” and “entitled”.
“I need someone to watch my four kids (ages 2, 3, 5 and 7) from noon to 6pm, Monday to Friday,” the poster reads.
“Must be a great cook and avid cleaner, over 25 years old, no social media accounts (I don’t need my kids seeing that).”
Other requirements include no drinking, smoking or vaping, no tattoos or piercings and it states that a background check and drug test will be conducted.
While some of the criteria seems over the top, there are a few points parents will understand, like the background check and drug testing.
It's hard to entrust a stranger to watch your children, especially when they’re very little.
But perhaps the most bizarre thing about the ad is the pay: US$200 (AU$312) a week, and the babysitter must provide their own transportation.

The mum also said that occasional weekend work might be required, and that the babysitter should run “all my errands”.
Facebook users called the mum “insane” for her list of demands.

“Why would someone with a master’s degree be her babysitter,” one person wondered.
And plenty of people took issue with the pay, with some thinking the mum left a zero off the figure and actually meant $2000.
“I know people who dropped out of uni who won’t take jobs for $200 per week,” one person said.

“I’m sorry but I make $400 a day with a high school diploma,” said another.
“Might be able to have those requirements if paying $1500 per week,” said a third. “The audacity!”
Some people were certain the ad was a fake, while others thought the mum was trying to get out of going back to work.
“Husband probably said, ‘You can only stay home if we can’t find a babysitter.’ Challenge accepted!” one person said.
“Her husband told her she needed to go back to work, and she said she would as soon as she found a decent babysitter. So she ran this ridiculous ad in hopes to never actually find one," said another.
