A mum-to-two got revenge on her husband after he made a few choice words about her being a stay-at-home mum.

It’s only been a little while since the American woman left her career to become a full-time mum, but she is already fed up with her husband’s comments.

The mum-of-two recently left her job to become a stay-at-home mum, and the family are still learning to adjust to their new lifestyle.

So when her husband made some choice words about her role, she very quickly put him in his place.

SAHM's brutal move to husband who said she 'doesn't have to go to work tomorrow'

“At least you don’t have to go to work tomorrow…”

“So let me just start by saying we are new to this,” she prefaced in the viral clip. “Me staying home with the kids and not having my career anymore which is great.”

The woman clarified that although her husband “loves” her, he unfortunately made a fatal error in judgment.

Just one day earlier, she and her husband had a “Sunday fun day” with their friends, drinking and enjoying the day.

Her husband then told her: “At least you don’t have to go to work tomorrow.”

That comment was enough to set the woman into a tizzy.

“I said, ‘Oh, I don't? OK! Good to know,” she laughed, filming herself walking around her house. “So Mama didn't work today.”

The property was in disarray, covered from head to toe in toys and food scraps.

“I didn't do the dishes, I didn't clean up. I didn't pick up the kids' rooms,” she explained, walking through the house and showing off the mess her kids left behind.

“I didn't put the laundry away; I didn't do a load of laundry,” she continued with a chuckle.

“I didn't clean the dishes from the five meals I've already made, and I haven't changed out of my pyjamas.”

“So, happy Monday!”

She filmed her husband’s reaction to the messy house when he came home, but may not have received the response she was expecting.

“Welcome home” she proudly said to her husband, who was busy playing with their two kids.

After explaining what she did that day (or didn’t do, to be more precise), she asked him if he “loved what we did with the place.”

She then informed him she ”took the day off” and it was his responsibility to clean up the mess “by the end of the night.”

He took the instructions in his stride. “OK, sounds good,” he said with a smile. He then instructed their two kids to help take out the rubbish, who were more than keen to lend a helping hand.

“Let’s take out the trash!” he said with enthusiasm, pointing to his children and saying, "They’re my help.”

“Teach him a lesson instead of just communicating, that’ll show him!”

The woman may have expected everyone to be on her side in this argument, but many were unsure how to feel.

Some saw her husband’s remark as innocent and without ill intent.

“I think he just meant being hungover at home is way easier than being hungover at work, that’s all,” someone commented. “I get the frustration, though.”

“I think he meant that with the idea that home is more comfortable than the office after a day of fun,” said another. “Not that you don’t work or do anything.”

“I honestly understand that hubby was just tired of getting out of the house to go to work,” a person agreed. “Not dismissive of the neverending chores. But being a SAHM is exhausting and I get it why you would feel like.”

Some wondered if the woman could have talked things out with her husband rather than try and “teach him a lesson” by not cleaning the house.

“How ‘bout just telling him ‘I didn’t like what you said earlier’?” a woman queried.

“Yeah! Teach him a lesson instead of just communicating!” another agreed sarcastically. “That'll show him!”

“Seems like you both should sit down and have a conversation about boundaries,” a wise comment read. “Please don’t let silent expectations destroy a good thing.”

But others were quick to defend the mum’s response, propping her up for the thankless (and unpaid) task of being a SAHM.

“Being a stay-at-home mum is the most rewarding yet least rewarding job you can have,” read a comment.

“Stick it to the man!” a fan wrote. “He won't make that mistake again I bet.”
