But after hitting 'post,' it didn’t take long for her to be hit with a wave of outrage.
The internet couldn’t believe any mother would hand their child a vape, but commenters were convinced that’s exactly what the mum of two had done.

"What. Was. That?"
“Did I see that correctly,” one commenter wrote.
Another said: “Had to quickly restart this video for a better look.”
“How sad,” a third criticised.
“What. Was. That?” a fourth demanded.
Thousands of people were left completely gobsmacked, but their assumptions were entirely incorrect. Alysha had done absolutely nothing wrong. Because the youngster wasn’t holding a vape at all. She was clutching a toy.
The shape and colour of the object, along with its placement in the toddler’s mouth, had created a storm in an internet teacup. Despite being posted just three days ago, the post has gained over 550,000 views and more than 500 comments.
Many of the comments have since changed in tone, now that the truth has come to light.
“The fact people are questioning if your CHILD has a vape?! What is wrong with people? Your girls are beautiful,” one commenter shared.
“It’s a Peppa Pig thermometer my wee girl has the same thing,” a mother said recognising the toy.
“That photo with no context is crazy,” someone pointed out.
Another user offered a compliment: “I knew from the first photo that was never a vape — look how gorgeous and healthy your girls are.”

"This is proof its a toy thermometer"
The mother took to TikTok again to show the toy up close and disprove the naysayers.
“Just to clarify my last video. This is proof its a toy thermometer,” she wrote on the video.
Many comforted the mother, insisting she shouldn't have had to explain herself.
The Kidspot team are happy to say we weren’t among those fooled.
“When I saw it, I instantly thought 'that's not a vape'. It looks like a glue bottle or one of those bottles from kitchen toy sets. Someone was wanting their five minutes of Tik Tok fame me thinks,” Leah said.
Meanwhile, Emily was more taken back by the size of the youngsters' accessories.
As a reminder: Raising Children Australia notes that second-hand smoke, third-hand smoke, and vapour are dangerous — especially for babies and children.
Vapes can contain harmful chemicals also found in cigarettes.
