Mum-to-be shares her dating secrets

Taking to TikTok, the American mum-to-be explained how she goes about dating while pregnant.

“My Hinge account doesn’t have any full-body pictures,” the hairstylist prefaced. “It’s all just my face.”

But in her bio, she said, she mentioned she has children. “Eventually, they’re gonna ask,” she said.

In the clip, she explained that she had been messaging a guy for “like 30 or 40 minutes” when he asked about her children.

“He finally asked, ‘I see that you have children. How old?’” she said. “And I sat there for like 10 minutes hyperventilating.”

“Some comments make me uncomfortable, but every now and then there are sweet guys”

After a bit of back-and-forth, she finally responded to the online match.

“I know this is a lot and probably super weird and unconventional, totally understand if you're not interested anymore,” she responded. “But I'm actually pregnant.

“Obviously not with father, I've just kind of been testing the waters of dating, which is strange, fully aware,” she said.

She answered his question with no expectations of his answer, but to her surprise, he was responsive to her backstory.

“I'm super open-minded, Megan and congrats!” he wrote. “That's a blessing.”

It turns out the match has two sons of his own, and is co-parenting with his ex, whom he labelled an “amazing mummy.”

Megan was blown away by his open-minded attitude and respect for his ex-partner. “How many men don't talk crap about their baby mamas?” she asked. “He doesn't. He does not.”

Despite the positive outcome of this interaction, it doesn’t mean that Megan has avoided any unusual or “strange” responses.

“I’ve had some more gross responses or questions from men that make me so uncomfortable,” she said. “But every now and then, there are sweet guys!”

In another TikTok update, Megan confirmed she has been dating someone for over two months and is blissfully preparing for the birth of her daughter.

“I’m in love with this love story!”

The video has amassed over 230,000 views, with comments flowing in support of Megan.

“I’m in for this 100 per cent, thank you for sharing,” a fan wrote. “Blessings everywhere!”

“Wait… I’m in love with this love story!” said another.

Others were in awe of how respectful the potential date’s attitude was. “Green flag!” someone wrote. “He speaks highly of his kids' mum.”

“The fact he called his children’s mother amazing is a major green flag!” another agreed. “He seems so emotionally intelligent!” read a comment.

Women who dated while pregnant shared their own experiences, too. “The first line of mine when I was pregnant and dating was ‘Pregnant, not dead,’” a woman laughed.

“Good for you,” said another. “On Tinder, my bio states ‘If you’re not ready to be a step dad don’t swipe right’ and then I say I have a one-month-old.”
