Shocking footage has emerged of an Adelaide mum storming into a year eight classroom to deliver a foul-mouthed verbal tirade against a student, even threatening to “slit” the young girl’s throat.

South Australia Police are investigating the incident at St Paul’s College in Gilles Plains in Adelaide’s northeast on Monday afternoon.

Astonishing video obtained by 7News shows the woman screaming violent threats at the student over an alleged bullying incident involving her daughter.

“You want to f***ing go, b***h? You want to f***ing go? You ever f***ing talk to my daughter again,” the woman yells as her husband attempts to push her away.

“I’m you f***ing worst night, b***h. I’m you worst f***ing nightmare,” she continues to scream in front of horrified students.

“You ever f***ing mess with my daughter again I’ll slit your f***ing throat. I’ll be waiting for you. And that smart little **** over there, yeah, you know what, you’re just jealous because you’re a **** ****. You’re a **** ****.”

The woman’s husband eventually ushers her outside the classroom.

Stunned parents spoke of their shock after learning of the incident on Tuesday.

“You lead by example. I mean, I’m a fiery person but I wouldn’t do that in a classroom with kids,” Isabella Ragno told 7News.

“It’s terrible. Yeah that’s bad. Shocked actually,” Clint Haines said.

“Police will be working closely with the school during the investigation,” SA Police said.

“Thankfully the student involved was not physically injured.”

It comes two months after the South Australian government introduced tough new laws to parliament targeting abusive parents.

The new legislation gives principals the power to ban parents from school grounds.

The government said at the time that the change followed a dramatic rise in the number of incidents of parental abuse, leading to a 200 per cent increase in parental bans in public schools over the past five years.

“Educators and the wider community expect schools and preschools to be safe and supportive learning environments where there is no place for violence or intimidating and threatening behaviour,” Premier Peter Malinauskas said in a statement announcing the legislation.

“Everyone has the right to feel safe at work and our educators are no exception.”
