A seven-year-old Horsham boy is being lauded as a hero after his dad collapsed while on a relaxing holiday.
Nick Wilson and his seven-year-old son Harry were enjoying a holiday in Geelong when Nick began feeling unusual.
He started losing his breath and his face felt like it had pins and needles, so he picked up his phone to call triple zero. Just as he made the call, he collapsed on the spot.
Luckily, the primary school student had just learned about first aid and what to do in a medical emergency a few weeks before, so he sprung into action.

His son was petrified but knew he had to do something, so he began running up and down the street, calling for help.
Harry picked up the phone, which was still on the line to emergency services, and told the operator where to go, even though he had never been to that part of Victoria before.
“I was lying there, and Harry was running up and down; he was yelling out names of shops and trying to find the street,” the Horsham father recalled to Ambulance Victoria.
“When paramedics arrived, Harry was the one who spotted them and helped them find me by waving them down.”
The paramedics soon arrived, finding Nick lying on the bench on the side of the street, and piled him into the back of an ambulance before taking him to the University Hospital in Geelong.
“I was very scared — I didn’t know what happened to him,” the brave 7yo told Sunrise.

“I am super proud of him, he is a legend”
Thankfully, Nick has recovered from the medical episode and is beyond impressed by his son’s impressive actions.
“I was feeling pretty sorry for myself and he remained calm the whole time, did a fantastic job,” the Victorian dad said. “I am super proud of him, he is a legend!”
After the terrifying ordeal, Ambulance Victoria paid Harry’s school visit, proudly presenting him with a certificate and a teddy bear as congratulations for his speedy response.
“We presented to students at a recent school visit, and the key message was that paramedics are people that children can trust when their loved ones are hurt,” said paramedic Amy Brown.
“He clearly took that on board when he helped the paramedics treat his dad by directing them to him and staying calm the whole time.”
