Using clothing to create a makeshift stint to control the bleeding, baby Harriet was rushed to hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery.

She had since been monitored in the Intensive Care Unit, where her condition was downgraded from critical to serious but stable.

Yesterday afternoon, Harriet was transferred from the ICU to another ward, with her condition improving.

NSW Health Minister Ryan Park said he was “delighted” by the update, telling reporters the 9mo’s condition was “a big change and a significant improvement.”

Harriet’s mother, Ashlee Good, was one of the six people tragically killed in Saturday’s horrific attack.

The 38yo was walking through Westfield Bondi with her 9mo when 40yo Joel Cauchi’s rampage began, randomly attacking people with a large knife.

After being stabbed, the mother grabbed her baby and thrust her into the arms of two strangers; a final act that may have saved the 9mo’slife.

A fundraiser for Harriet, set up by her family, has been launched to support her recovery journey and to help rebuild her life after the tragedy. It has currently raised over $530,000, surpassing its original goal of $10,000.
