‘A family is gone’: Two children and a man killed in horrific crash near Toowoomba
A woman was airlifted to hospital in Brisbane and is fighting for her life after the sedan she and the other victims were travelling in collided with a ute on Monday morning.

Two children and a man have died after a horrific crash involving a sedan and a ute occurred northwest of Toowoomba.
Emergency services arrived at Dalby Jandowae Road at Jimbour East at 10:50am on Monday, attending five victims.
Four of the victims – a man, woman and two children – had been driving in the sedan when it crashed.
All four suffered from life-threatening injuries, according to an ambulance spokesperson speaking to media at the time of the accident.

Three of the four sedan passengers died at the scene, while the female passenger was airlifted to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the ute was taken to Dalby Hospital in a stable condition.

Two children die in Toowoomba crash
Senior Sergeant Greg Wheeler spoke to the ABC, calling the accident “devastating”.
“You know, a family basically here one minute, not the next. It’s very difficult to fathom how it’s actually occurred,” he said.

“Life’s pretty short and can disappear pretty quick, so please be careful,” he added, urging drivers to be cautious on the road.

Police have closed Dalby Jandowae Road between MacAlister Bell Road and Inglenton Frees Road as the Forensic Crash Unit investigates.
The roads are expected to be closed for hours on Monday.
