One dead in violent clash between men who met on Grindr

A man is dead and another seriously injured after violent feud after the pair met on the dating app Grindr.

One man is dead and other seriously injured after a violent feud between two men who met on Grindr, police in New York say.

The deadly clash took place in an apartment on the Upper East Side about 1.30pm on Sunday, New York time.

A 27-year-old man had invited another man from the gay dating app over to his apartment inside a five-story building on East 95th Street near Second Ave when the visitor suddenly blurted out, “I hate all people,” the sources said.

The unidentified attacker then allegedly pulled out a knife and started stabbing the unsuspecting apartment dweller throughout his body, the sources said.

The resident, in turn, grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the aggressor in the chest and neck, according to the sources.

Police found the visitor unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene, cops said.

The 27-year-old man, who suffered multiple lacerations, was listed in serious but stable condition at New York’s Weill Cornell Medical Center, the sources said.

It’s unclear whether he will be arrested or if his alleged actions will be chalked up to self-defence, the sources said.

Two knives were recovered at the scene and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
