Australian Olympic swimming champion Emily Seebohm and Married At First Sight star Ryan Gallagher have baby news!

“Baby Seebohm due September,” the excited dad announced on Instagram on Saturday, sharing an adorable video showing off Emily’s baby bump and Ryan comparing his own “sympathy bump”.

Three-time Olympic gold medalist made her own announcement on Instagram.

“We’ve had a little bump in the road,” she captioned a video.

The couple met on the set of reality show, The Challenge in early 2022 and went public with their relationship in December. Three months later they announced their engagement.

In an interview with Woman’s Day Ryan explained how he proposed next to a dam on his Goulburn farm, where Emily spent a lot of time swimming.

“When you know, you know… I thought it was the right spot to do it – she loves the horses and she often swims in the dam,” he said.

“I did get nervous though. The [ring] box was making a bit of a bulge in my pocket. So either she knew I was proposing or she just thought I was happy to see her.”

“Ohhh this is amazing news @ryangallaghergram!!!” wrote fellow MAFS alum Sarah Roza commented. “Congratulations to you and Emily.”

“Congrats! Exciting times ahead!!” wrote MAFS star Carly Bowyer.

“Deserved happiness. Don’t forget I’m a groomsman,” wrote comedian Nikki Osborne.

At the time of their engagement announcement, the pair said they're planning an "intimate" wedding, most likely on the Gold Coast within the next two years, but were more excited about organising the "blowout" engagement party.

Ryan and Emily fell for each on The Challenge

The celebrity couple responded to speculation of a romance in early December by posting pictures of themselves together on social media.

Their fast tracked engagement comes after feelings blossomed quickly for the pair.

Seebohm told Woman’s Day they knew by the last week of The Challenge there was something between them, and she had to make the call to end her relationship with her then-boyfriend.

The two then met up in Argentina and went travelling together and had been “inseparable” ever since.

Gallagher has taken on a comedy career since starring in season five of Married At First Sight in 2018, where he was paired with Davina Rankin and caught up in ‘cheating scandal’.
