Miss Finland kicked out of restaurant for ‘inappropriate’ outfit

The former Miss Finland has shared her horror after being kicked out of a restaurant for her skimpy outfit, stating there’s nothing wrong with it.

Beauty queen Erika Helin claims she was kicked out of a restaurant for her “inappropriate” outfit – but she doesn’t think there was anything wrong with it.

Erika, who was crowned Miss Finland in 2018, shared her shock after being asked to leave while dining out because of her clothing choice.

The model and social media influencer revealed she was talking with friends when a security guard asked her to leave the Helsinki restaurant, The Sun reports.

Erika’s pink bralette top, which she paired with a black mini skirt, heels and a matching bag, was “inappropriate”, she says the security guard told her.

“Unexpectedly, the jerk came to get me, told me that I had to leave, dragged me out of the bar,” she claimed on Instagram.

“Although I didn’t object in any way, when I got there, [he] loudly criticised my choice of outfit.”

The model says she could’ve bought a different outfit from a nearby shop if it had been pointed out to her before she entered the restaurant.

“In my opinion, it is contradictory to even take a customer in if the outfit is not suitable,” she added.

Erika also stressed she didn’t think there was anything wrong with her outfit in the first place.

“Maybe I’m too used to the dressing culture of my other home country – much more relaxed there,” she mused.

After the incident Erika shared a series of pictures of the “inappropriate” outfit and slammed the security guard for being a “misogynist”.

Some users agreed that the outfit wasn’t appropriate to wear to a restaurant though.

“Looks more like maybe a bikini top and you can’t go to a bar in them,” one said.

“Apparently you were planning to go to the beach?” a second commented.

But others agreed that she should be able to wear whatever she wants.

“Get out of where you can’t dress as you want,” one quipped.

It comes days after a British woman went viral for sharing the “perfect” outfit to wear to a funeral, leaving the internet in shock when she threw the fashion rule book out the window.

While many people would choose to dress modestly when saying goodbye to a loved one, British brand “EdgyLittlePieces” said we need to turn the fashion advice on its head.

A video shared by the small business shows an employee modelling the brand’s “best-selling funeral dress” – a black halter mini-dress with large cut-outs that show her cleavage and entire torso.

The form-fitting dress also features thin spaghetti straps crisscrossing down her neck, chest, breasts and stomach.

In another video over 612,000 views and almost 54,000 likes, she gives a tutorial on how to wear the dress, explaining you can tighten the straps to make it “super modest for the funeral, then loosen it back down for the after-party”.

However, the “super modest” look still reveals the model’s cleavage and torso.

Many were shocked by the minuscule dress, while others were so flabbergasted by the racy suggestion, the insisted it must be a “joke”.

“Imagine turning up to a funeral in that,” one stated.

“There’s no way someone would wear that to a funeral,” another added.

While one declared: “If I wore that to a funeral I would be the one in the coffin.”
