Married teacher pleads guilty to sending 16yo student explicit video

A special ed teacher has admitted pressuring a teenage boy into a sexual relationship by sending an explicit video while her husband was away.

An American special education teacher has admitted sending nude images to a 16-year-old student.

Rikki Lynn Laughlin, 26, was fired after allegations emerged that she’d sent X-rated photos and a video of herself using a sex toy to a male teenager on Snapchat.

After initially denying a slew of criminal activity with a child, which included several more severe charges including statutory rape and sex trafficking, Laughlin has avoided jail after pleading guilty to lesser charges, a local media outlet reported.

The married teacher has pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child creating substantial risk of the first degree with no sexual conduct on Thursday.

Investigators said Laughlin had been sending pornographic videos of herself to a 16-year-old student.

She also solicited nude pics of the boy and attempted to pressure him into having sex.

Police officials first launched an investigation after being tipped off by the school district about an “inappropriate relationship” at the school, KRCG reported at the time.

A detective then visited the student at his home, where he said he had kissed Laughlin, and said “things progressed fast” with Laughlin after the Snapchat exchange, according to the New York Post.

When she allegedly invited him to have sex, he said he “made excuses” because “he did not feel comfortable,” documents by the Maries County Sheriff’s Office stated.

The same detective later visited Laughlin at her home, where she allegedly acknowledged that she’d received lewd photos from the boy, but claimed he had initiated their contact.

S also claimed she had not been aware he was a minor.

The detective’s report alleges Laughlin told the student she could go to jail for the material they had exchanged and asked him to delete them when rumours about their relationship spread at the school.

Laughlin, who has since had her contract at St. James High School in Missouri terminated, was sentenced to five years of probation.
