“Kmart is legit saving my life”

Aussie TikTok creator @pixxelle8 took to the app this week to share her newest obsession, Kmart’s Heated Throw.

In the video, captioned, “Thank you, Kmart”, the user shows off their new blanket, which they say is a total life saver.

“Kmart legit saving my life rn w/ this heated throw,” the video says.

The heated throw retails for $42 on Kmart’s website, and comes in a variety of shades including grey, natural and green. It has nine heat settings and a 12-hour auto timer, meaning all your needs are well and truly covered.

“I can’t live without mine!”

Commenters on the post were just as obsessed with the product, with many saying they’d picked it up already.

“I can’t live without mine!” said one commenter.

“2 of us use them every night going to sleep and when watching tv on the couch at night it’s used practically no electricity!!!” another stated.

“Better than using a heater tbh, since this only costs roughly 5 cents an hour,” another pointed out.

And, reviewers of the product seem to agree, with a 5-star rating on Kmart’s website.

‘Perfect when sitting on a couch on these very cold nights. Happy to recommend this product as it is good value for money, soft, light and very effective,” said one reviewer.

“Must buy if you get cold easily during the winter. There’s 9 different heat settings and a timer, which is convenient. There are a lot of warnings so read carefully before you use it,” said another.

So it’s not perfect…

Commenters on the original post echoed the same message, with a number recalling that they had quite the opposite experience with the throw.

“Mine blew up within a month,” said one person.

“Mine set my couch on fire,” another explained.

Kmart’s website states the product has been tested to applicable Australian electrical safety standards and certified as compliant.
