‘Just $2?!’ The unlikely reason families are flocking to IKEA

Aussies are bypassing the furniture and heading straight to this area - and now we can see why.

Aussie finds 'cheapest breakfast in Australia'

We already know how good the Swedish meatballs are and the hot dogs are also a personal favourite of mine. But there's another reason people are raving about IKEA - and once again, it has nothing to do with their bargain furniture.

Aussies are hitting the Swedish furnishing warehouse and heading straight to the food court to get stuck into their $2 breakfasts.

Cheaper than the cafe, mate!

Local foodies Christian and Akita (aka @christianandakitaeats) caused a stir recently when they shared a clip of a family visit to the much-loved store to enjoy their big breakfast offering.

"They start from $2 and if you didn't know IKEA does breakfasts for $2, $5 and $8 for a big breakfast. Serious value," Christian explains in the video.

A morning trip to the food court starts off with bread, drinks and cake of the day before moving on to the hot menu items - including eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, hashbrowns, mushrooms and tomatoes.

"It is cafeteria style and look it's nothing fancy, but for $8 for a big breakfast in today's economy, is so cheap. It's super value."

Christian then goes on to share what the kids will be able to devour while being dragged to the "booooooring" shop with their parents.

"The kids get the $2 brekky, Akita usually gets the $5 medium breakfast which is super cheap," he adds.

"You can add coffee as well, they're only $2."

The option of adding other drinks such as sparkling water is also there.

"All this and coffee with the girls was around $30."

IKEA just got a whole lot more popular

The IKEA store the family visited was located in Logan, Queensland and according to shoppers, it's available all year round in stores.

"They are so good hey," someone commented.

"Brekkie cake top it off worth it," another follower added.

Others took the opportunity to rave about the cult fave meatballs.

"I love their mash n meat balls 🤤," someone added.

And another agreed: "I be waiting for the meatballs 🙈😂."

But there was one comment that really stood out - and let's just say, plenty will be on board with the idea.

"If Bunnings had this..."

AMEN TO THAT.
