ITALIAN artist Irene Messia has an “eternal love” of painting and she can’t wait for Coast art aficionados to see her work.
Self-reflection and poetry inspired Ms Messia to create an exclusive exhibition at Currumbin’s Dust Temple this week.
The 31-year-old said her work titled “Being” started with one painting but when she ruminated about the meaning of life she couldn’t stop arranging colours on her canvas.

“The model for my first painting, Eternity, was my good Australian friend Magda,” she said.
“This body of work explores the concept of hell, purgatory and heaven with inspiration from the great poet Dante.
“I have also inserted my own experiences.”
Ms Messia, an artist in residency at Currumbin’s Dust Temple, said her painting journey across the world has taken dedication and “eternal love”.
“It’s now a dream to be able to practice my own art every day at this big studio.”
The exhibition will run over three nights from Friday June 19 to Sunday June 21.
