LOOKOUT luxury, interest in the $1 billion Jewel Residences triple-tower resort being built in Surfers Paradise is set to outstrip supply.
More than 120 people have already registered their interest to live in the residents-only Tower Three, which boasts its own private beachfront entrance, concierge and panoramic views from Burleigh to South Stradbroke Island.
Built by developers Wanda Ridong, the 108-apartment tower has also banned holiday letting “to ensure maximum comfort and privacy” for its permanent residents
And in an Australian-first, the tower will host a 24-hour concierge as well.
“The 24-hour concierge will be housed in Tower Three’s private lobby, so no matter the time, residents of these 108 apartments can simply pick up the phone and get whatever they want,” Mr Wanda Ridong director Baron Li said.
He said this could be as simply as a midnight ice-cream craving, to organising a helicopter ride over the city, to day to day duties like organising pet care, car washing or grocery shopping.
Wanda international real estate marketing director Michael Purefoy said it was the kind of offering that had become an expectation at places like Mercedes House apartments in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen or The Mark Hotel’s residences on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, but no one had attempted anything like this here in Australia.
“Right from early stages of the Jewel design, we wanted to do something remarkable and totally unexpected for Tower Three as it held such a commanding position and viewpoint, and we think we’ve created something that’s taken the entire concept of a luxury living to the next level,” Mr Purefoy said.
“We believe the amenities on offer will soon become a requirement for all luxury developments going forward.”
While the price for a one-bedroom apartment starts at just over $1 million, a three-bedroom apartment can cost up to $4 million.
Tower Three will be officially launched in July.
