A woman has been slammed for holding up a supermarket checkout line to tally how many times a man “looked at her”.
Katie Miller, a Twitch streamer from Tennessee, was at a self-serve checkout at a supermarket while a man stood behind her waiting for his turn to pay for groceries.
The young woman had one phone set up to record as she played around on another phone while keeping a tally of how many times the man behind her glanced at her.
She giggled uncomfortably as the tally went up, reaching seven. As the man went behind her to user another self serve checkout, she said; “That’s what you guys are, just a couple of meat bags.”
However, the 36-second clip didn’t get the reaction she was hoping for with many jumping in to defend, rather than condemn, the man.
“He is literally waiting on people to hurry up so he can check out with his food,” Malcolm Flex, who shared the clip to X, said.
“Holding up checkout to make a TikTok should be a criminal offence.”
Another social media user said: “She has a camera out recording him while he waits in line and he is the bad guy. Smh. I hope she is banned from that store.”
“Main character syndrome getting out of hand,” another social media user commented.
One social media user added: “It’s 2024, of course this woman makes a video suggesting that she doesn’t like the attention, and then posts the video to social media in order to get attention.”
“He barely looks her way, yet she tries to damage his reputation. Good grief. What an arrogant, spoiled brat lacking in respect,” another commented.
One person commented: “He’s probably wondering why she has a camera mounted on the shopping cart. I would look too.”
