'I threw my toddler an epic Bluey-themed party for under $500'

"I spent way too much time and energy on it, but it was perfect and she loved every second of it."

10 things only parents of 'Bluey' fans will understand

When it comes to throwing a Bluey-themed birthday party, you could have a party or you could have a full-blown Wackadoo Bluey bonanza.

One woman, Annie Marroquin, did exactly that - and posted all the photos to a Bluey Mums Facebook page.

The results were as wonderful and OTT as you'd expect.

She said that "she spent way too much time and energy on it," but her daughter and the 25 guests had a ball - so it was all worth it.

Bluey-themed food, decorations and lolly bags

Posting on the page, Annie wrote: "Finally so excited to share my baby's Bluey party."

The attached photos, detail everything - from the Bluey balloons, confetti, cake and decor.

Speaking to Kidspot, Annie revealed that she got most of the items from party shops, Target and Amazon. "I did a lot of DIY but repurposed certain parts of some decorations. Like, I used 'table confetti' that came with my backdrop and taped them to toothpicks for the food and printed out Bluey pictures to tape to non-Bluey banners."

In one photo, Annie is holding her adorable daughter, McKenna (Kenny for short) who's dressed head-to-toe in Bluey merch, ears included!

Pastel orange and blue balloons are attached to a backdrop behind them, as are Bluey balloons.

Virtually the entire house was decked out with Bluey paraphernalia with the mum seemingly thinking of everything. Even the lolly bags were Bluey themed.

Annie said, "goodie bags for each kid had a 'magic asparagus' lollipop, a feather wand, a red keepy uppy balloon, a sticky gekko, and some lollies inside to keep the kids entertained and the bigger kids as well!"

All up it cost the mum around $440 (not to mention all the time and effort involved!) But her daughter apparently "loved every second of it."

"My daughter was in awe! She was walking around the whole time smiling and laughing pointing at the many many pictures of Bluey and Bingo around our house."

"She's a HUGE Bluey fan," she said about her one-year-old.

"All the other kids that came enjoyed it as well and loved the decor and treats!"

"She watches the show constantly and loves her Bluey toys over all her others."

In terms of planning for the big day, Annie said it took her "about a month", and she did some looking around online for "deals or coupon codes for the stores I knew I'd be shopping at."

"I'd love for people to get some inspiration from my party to help them plan theirs!" she added.

"You need to be a party planner"

And they definitely did, with many mums taking to the group to share their appreciation. The post now has over 1000 likes and 100 comments.

"Okay, this is beautiful. This is 100% what I aim to be in life," one person said.

Another wrote, "Love all the sweet details, everything is STUNNING! You could 1000% be a party planner!"

And a third echoed this saying, "If you're not a party planner, you definitely should consider it. Just looking at the amount of detail you put into the decor is amazing. I know that people would pay you generously. This is a talent I wish I had!"

"You did an amazing job! Time and energy well spent for your special girl," another commended.

"WOW! I'm saving this for inspo!! Soooo many thoughtful small details. And I loved that you took the Bluey colour palette and made a pastel version of it. My fave was the muffin and flamingo, incredible job mama! Happy Birthday to your Bluey!!!" one group member posted.

Someone else noticed the colour palette and surfy-decorations: "OBSESSED with the boho twist on Bluey! This is amazing!!!"

Annie replied to this comment saying, "I have this bad habit of doing party themes that match my house, so when I keep a few of the decorations it works."
