THE most famous pet in the fashion world strikes again, as Karl Lagerfeld launches an exhibition in her honour.
The love that the German fashion designer, artist and photographer has for his cat Choupette is well documented — the white Siamese already has a book, a Twitter account and several magazine editorials to her name.
Now, she can add exhibition and calendar to that list.
“Corsa Karl and Choupette” has just opened at the Palazzo Italia in Berlin, a nine day exhibition consisting of photographs Lagerfeld took of Choupette for the 2015 Opel Corsa Calendar.
Both the cover sketch — which was done by Lagerfeld himself — and the images inside the calendar are on display, with Tina Müller, Chief Marketing Officer of the Opel Group, saying that “Choupette is a beautiful animal and did an excellent job.”
“Choupette did a great job — just as I would expect from a star,” Lagerfeld told The TelegraphUK at the time. “She was relaxed no matter whether she was behind the wheel or on the roof of the Opel. She was by no means tense.”
We wouldn’t expect any less.
