CHANEL fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld’s cat earned a cool $4.2 million last year. That’s a whole lot of sardines.
Blue-eyed Siamese fluff ball Choupette Lagerfeld, who has her own Instagram account and two maids, clawed in millions posing for cosmetics and car companies.
“She did two jobs and made three million euros ($4.2 million) last year,” Lagerfeld told US fashion site The Cut this week.
The German designer said the wealthy feline is more like a person than a pet, and is “too sophisticated” to work for cat food companies, preferring high-end brands.
“She is like a human being. She hates other animals and she hates children.
“There is something unforgettable about her — the way she moves, the way she plays. She’s an inspiration for elegance. For attitude,” he said.
Scrap the sardines — it seems Choupette would probably opt for caviar.
