“If I blindfolded you, put you in the middle of this village today, you’d be back in the 1850s, that’s exactly what it’s like,” he told 7 News.

“Going back in 1992, the original owner built it as a colonial village so that someone could come along and experience are real colonial village.”

Mr Carthew said he has had interest from all over Australia and from different groups, with some interested buyers wanting to use it for disability-type work and others as a hermits retreat.

He said someone was “definitely going to buy it”.

“It’s the perfect opportunity for someone to buy this complex and make it a really good tourist venture again or just three families buy it and use it as their weekender,” Mr Carthew said.

He said back in 1992 the town cost over $3 million to built so it was definitely a bargain at $1.75 million.
