Australian woman Sharni Jeffs in intensive care after plunging from hotel balcony in Bali

Sharni Jeffs suffered a fractured skull after falling from a balcony on the first day of her holiday in Bali.

An Australian woman fractured her skull and spent two days in intensive care after falling from her hotel balcony in Bali.

Sharni Jeffs, from Melbourne, was on the first day of her holiday with boyfriend Josh when they returned to their hotel room after going out for dinner.

Josh realised he had lost his wallet and went downstairs to look for it.

Sharni looked over the balcony to see where he was and fell onto the concrete below.

Shari suffered a bleed on her brain following the horror fall.

She was rushed to hospital where doctors discovered she had broken her back and fractured her skull.

She spent two days in intensive care with a bleed on her brain but is now on a normal ward.

Ms Jeffs’ devastated mother Alida Jeffs told Daily Mail Australia that the family have no idea when she will be allowed to fly home as she will need to be cleared by a neurologist before she can fly.

Sharni Jeffs, from Melbourne, fell from her balcony in Bali and onto concrete below.

Alida said she was paying for all medical costs upfront and has set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the costs.

She said Sharni was “on very strong pain relief” and couldn’t sit up.

“We still have no idea when she will be cleared to fly home or how she will sit on a plane for six hours,” Alida told the publication.
