Gods of the Sea is headed by chef Jon Nurminen who was the culinary expert behind one of the Coast’s former leading seafood restaurants The Fish House.
Mr Filipovic said Gods of the Sea had filled the void after The Fish House closed in February 2020.
“The Fish House was the only trendy place for seafood … and since Hellenika left, there was nothing at Nobby’s that has ticked that box,” Mr Filipovic said.
“Gods of the Sea has that sort of European feel to it where all the tables eventually start merging and interacting with each other.
“It’s very intimate as well so it’s great for couples and we do offer a private dining experience for larger groups as well.
“I truly think it’s one of the best fish offerings on the Coast.”
Gods of the Sea at 2215 Gold Coast Highway Mermaid Beach is open Wednesday to Sunday.
