It is $49 a head with all profits from the day to go towards the New Zealand families whose loved ones were killed in the horrific slaying last week.

White Rhino partner Matt Keegan says the venue is expecting about 500 to turn up for the brunch, which starts from 11am.

“We are hoping that we get in excess of $20,000,” he said.

Mr Keegan says a lot of his hospitality group’s staff – many of whom are young Kiwis – have been deeply affected by the events back in their homeland.

“A lot of the people on our staff base are New Zealanders and part of our group so we thought we should do this as a group and support them,” Mr Keegan says.

His group’s interests include nightclubs Havana, Sin City and The Bedroom. As of yesterday, Victim Support in NZ had received a $6 million windfall to help families of victims. Many were left without fathers, brothers or siblings.

Tickets are at www.white-rhino-com.au and it runs from 11am to 3pm on the day.
