LITTLE Coralie Bradman is over the moon after opening her mailbox to discover a letter from Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth.

The Year Six St Hilda’s College student penned a letter to Queen Elizabeth II last year, but never expected to receive a reply.

With the fast approaching 2018 Commonwealth Games being held in her own backyard, Coralie was motivated to ask Her Majesty why a certain sport was not included.

“I just asked why golf and ping pong were represented but not ballet,” she said.

“I sent it to her in September last year, so I sort of forgot about it, then I checked the mail in December and to my amazement, I received a reply.”

Coralie said she thinks a large audience would be interested in watching ballet and all its athleticism, strength and beauty.

Unfortunately, the Gold Coast girl has a bit more work to do before she can ever hope to see ballet at in the Commonwealth Games with Buckingham Palace replying “Her Majesty can’t do anything about it and I have to sent a letter Commonwealth Games Federation to consider your proposal.”

This isn’t the first time Coralie has made headlines.

Last year she became one of the youngest people in history to reach the summit of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro.

The St Hilda’s student climbed the 5895 metre mountain with her dad, radio personality Luke Bradnam.

Despite suffering altitude sickness after the pair reached 4600 metres, Mr Bradnam said Coralie never gave up.

“We had to take her down to 3300m and hope she came good. Luckily she did, but only due to the fact she never gave in,” he said.

“Without debate I’m the proudest dad ever.”
