The well-reviewed eatery, on the corner of the Gold Coast Highway and Glenelg Ave, currently closes at 10pm.

In a report to council, it is argued that the expanded operating hours would bring Lupo into line with other nearby residents including the Little Truffle, Glenelg Public House, Etsu Izayaka and Bonita Bonita.

“The minor extension in operating hours is not anticipated to result in a nuisance on any nearby sensitive uses given the restaurant's use is small scale, internal to the building and proposed operating hours are consistent with similar sues in the immediate vicinity,” the planning report said.
