A new German restaurant is opening on the Gold Coast. And it’s good news if you’re needing a job - The Bavarian-themed eatery is set to give the city’s employment market a big shot in the arm.

A NEW Gold Coast restaurant is looking to fill up to 45 positions ahead of its opening at Robina next month.
German-themed restaurant group The Bavarian, which already operates restaurants at Broadbeach and Coomera, will employ dozens of local staff at its Robina Town Centre venue in both full-time and casual positions.
Rockpool Dining Group CEO Thomas Pash said the company is currently looking for permanent chefs, cooks and casual kitchen hands, and will take applications for front of house staff closer to the opening date.

He said there are opportunities for furthering careers in hospitality for the right people.
“We are looking for new recruits who live locally, know the area, the community and will have a good rapport with customers,” Mr Pash said.
“Ideally applicants will have prior experience in the industry.
“We look for staff who are enthusiastic, driven and confident, with a proactive approach and a willingness to learn.
“The Bavarian Robina will suit everyone from students looking for shifts between studies and experienced hospitality professionals who want to take their career to the next level.
“There are excellent career development opportunities for the right candidates. In-house training programs include The Future Head Chef Program and The Future General Manager Program, which prepare assistant managers and sous chefs to lead their own restaurant and kitchen teams.”

The 340-seat venue will feature an expansive beer garden for 120 guests and a games area with a range of activities for families.
Customers will enjoy a taste of Germany at the restaurant, with European beer and food on offer as well as classic Australian fare.
“Diners will experience a taste of Bavarian hospitality, from cultural hints in the interior decor, to quintessential dishes and a large range of German beers, boosted by international and Australian beers,” Mr Pash said.
