“Get ready!”
An Aussie shopper has taken to the Aussie Christmas Displays Facebook group this week, sharing that they’d seen Christmas stock popping up at Spotlight.
“Get ready! [This is at] Spotlight, looks like things are coming soon,” he said.
In the photo, you can see a number of shelves assembled at the store, located in Penrith, with images of baubles, gifts and candy canes, and the words ‘Make it, gift it, be merry’.
“Bring on Christmas”
Commenters on the post were thrilled to see Christmas stock already, even though the holiday is still four months away.
“I [saw that] the other day, I was like ‘Ohhhhh I can’t wait’,” said one person.
“My local had them fully stocked yesterday,” another said.
“Bring on Christmas,” said a third.
“Can't wait,” another agreed.
And, it seems Spotlight isn’t the only one getting ready early, with Christmas buys having already been spotted at a number of other stores.
“Costco has heaps already!!” one commenter shared.
“Christmas tree delivery at Big W yesterday,” another pointed out.
Christmas is coming!
Plenty of other Aussie stores are hot on Spotlight’s heels, getting in on all the Christmassy goodness in the coming weeks.
Big W has confirmed that parts of their range including trees and tree decorations, will be on sale sooner than you think.
“BIG W is rolling out a range of festive decorations in stores and online from early September,” a spokesperson confirmed.
“Savvy shoppers can also expect low prices locked in for a range of toys at the top of kids’ wish lists from October right up until Christmas time, with a wider range of great value gifts also available for the whole family.”
Some of your favourite Woolworths goodies - including fruit mince pies, puddings and tarts - will be on the shelves from tomorrow, August 27.
“We know some of our customers are already counting down to the festive season, and with the cost of living pressures we’re all experiencing some people may begin planning their Christmas budgets a bit earlier this year,” a Woolworths Group spokesperson told Kidspot.
“This week we will start introducing some of our Christmas range to help our eager customers start getting ahead of the festive season, however, the full Christmas range won’t appear until towards the end of the year.”
Plenty of Christmas goodies will also be making their way to ALDI - though not until a little later in the year.
"We know Christmas is an exciting time, and plenty of people are already looking forward to planning the festive season! We're excited for customers to jump straight into the festivities when ALDI Christmas treats like our Kringle & Co Fruit Mince Pies and our Kringle & Co Plum Puddings land in stores closer to the festive period. Keep an eye out as we head into the season as there will be plenty of returning favourites as well as some exciting new additions to our festive range this year," a spokesperson told Kidspot.
