Kmart item we’ve ‘been waiting for’ returns after selling out
A $6 product that sold out when it launched in 2022 has “finally” returned – but despite its popularity, shoppers have mixed reviews.

A popular product from Kmart that sold out last year is finally back in stock – but the response from customers has been mixed.
Kmart released Strawberry Flavoured Crispy Marshmallow 300g for just $6 in 2022.
But four months after selling out after going viral on social media, a woman named Kara Hansen took to TikTok to reveal she has finally got her hands on them after searching for four months.
However, the highly-sought after item wasn’t exactly what she expected.
“I have been waiting to get these for literally four months,” she explained in her video, which has been viewed over 1.2 million times to date.
“When they went viral, I went to every single possible Kmart I could go to and couldn’t get them. And now is the moment where I am trying them for the very first time.”
Kara’s excitement was visible as she opened the jar and explained the sweet treat smelled like fairy floss.
But, after her first taste, she had never tasted anything like it before, labelling the item “underwhelming”.
However, she eventually revealed she had been snacking on them for six hours and couldn’t stop.

Like Kara, many social media users had mixed opinions on the sweet treat.
“I finally found them when I went on holiday up north, they did not live up to the hype,” one person commented on the video.
“I bought these today after seeing your video and OMG they’re amazing,” one person commented.
Another woman said: “If you don’t want them, I’ll have them. I can’t find them anywhere!”
An employee said after seeing the video, she understood why she was suddenly finding a lot of empty packed of the crispy marshmallows empty at work.
Another social media user said she also been looking for the crispy marshmallows for months, and she wanted to finally try them.
The item initially went viral in September 2022, with dozens of social media users posting their reactions to the sweet treat.
“When I first saw these, I ran to Kmart because every video I’ve seen people have died at how good they are,” TikTok user Amanda Fotinos said.
“Do yourself a favour – run, right now.”
Meanwhile Rory Eliza said: “OMG, they’re like sour! Do I love them or hate them? They’re worth the hype.”
People were also freezing the crispy marshmallow in order to get the ultimate crunch.
