The Bondi branch of iconic Sydney cake shop and restaurant Pasticceria Papa has announced its closure after 10 years in business.

Pasticceria Papa’s stores in Haberfield and Five Dock, in Sydney’s inner west, will remain open. Staff from Bondi Beach will move to these stores.
Papa got rave reviews from day one, with a 2014 review from website Broadsheet describing it as a place where “one could spend an entire day blissfully consuming baked, frozen, cured and cooked delights enough to feed a small Italian village”.
“We had a fantastic 10 years at Bondi Beach and are so grateful to the local Bondi community for supporting us over the years,” the business posted to Instagram.
“Closing our Bondi Beach location was not an easy decision for us to make however our lease has now finished. We have decided to close this chapter and are excited for new ventures to come. Stay tuned for what Papa’s has in store.
“We would like to say a BIG Thank You to our amazing customers and Bondi staff for all the love, support and hard work they have provided over the past 10 years.
“Our Haberfield and Five Dock stores will continue to trade as normal and we invite you all to visit us there.”
