$3 Aldi Brownie Batter Dip goes viral

Social media has become inundated with posts of Aldi’s latest sweet treat with excited shoppers branding it the most “delicious dessert ever”.

Just when you thought Aldi couldn’t satisfy its customers anymore, out it comes with a cheap treat that’s got shoppers hooked.

Social media has become inundated with snaps and videos of the German stores latest sweet addition — the Brownie Batter Dip — with fans branding it the most “delicious dessert ever”.

Some have even gone as far as hiding it from their kids.

“To anyone that hasn’t yet, run. Don’t walk. It’s the best thing I’ve purchased so far!” one shopper wrote about the $3 dip.

“I’m 100% hiding this from the kids! IT IS SO GOOD!!!!!” said another.

The cheap treat is gluten and dairy free and is part of Aldi’s Deli Originals Fresh range.

After discovering the sweet batter in his local store, popular Sydney foodie, Adrian Widjy, couldn’t help but share a TikTok on it, clocking more than 93,000 views.

“I love this so much!” he simply captioned the clip.

He began by thanking the TikTok user who told him about the Aldi dip before revealing how it tastes.

“It is gluten free and dairy free and suitable for vegetarians too,” Adrian said as he dipped a strawberry into the batter.

“Super delish! Only $2.49! Run!

“It works with anything really from a strawberry to a pretzel.”

The price appears to vary between $2.50 and $3, depending on certain stores.

Since sharing the post four days ago, it has been ‘liked’ more than 6700 times with users bombarding the comments section.

“Ummmm I need,” one person wrote.

“Oh em gee … anything gluten free dairy free is fabulous! pls keep sharing these type of finds,” said another.

“As an Aldi employee highly recommend try it with the tops biscuits,” a third person added.

Adrian said the dip is made with Aquafaba or chickpea water.

“It’s pretty much just chocolate hummos!! It’s amazing.”

While many have raved about the product, one TikTok user wasn’t entirely convinced.

“So first off it smells really chocolatey, which is great,” she begins the clip.

“The texture feels like a thick brownie batter. The chocolate is meh … it’s average. You’re probably better dipping strawberries in melted chocolate but it’s a fun little thing from Aldi.
