WAGYU steak, whiskey and a smoking chocolate cigar – now that sounds like a high tea fathers can get behind.
QT Gold Coast is putting on a decadent “ManTea” spread for Father’s Day next weekend and Hit90.9’s Dan Anstey said he could not wait to get stuck into it.
“It’s a fun idea, because guys won’t actually take the time to organise stuff like that,” Mr Anstey said.
“If there’s not a game of sport on, they won’t get together, because they need that little safety blanket of being there to watch sport when really they’re there to be with each other and talk stuff out.”

Mr Anstey’s said he owed his smooth transition into family life to his “unbelievable” wife Clare.
“The best thing about being a dad is seeing what kind of mum Clare has turned into. My life hasn’t changed as drastically as I thought it would because she is amazing.
“I feel guilty – it’s so easy on my end because for the first six months, the mums are so important. I always knew she’d be good at it.”
Tickets for QT Gold Coast’s ManTea start at $45 per person and includes a White Rabbit Dark Ale on arrival.
QT will also host a GrillFest at its Bazaar buffet restaurant on Father’s Day for $79.50 per person.
