A Gold Coast influencer has defended the skimpy outfit she wore grocery shopping after revealing it left people “staring in disgust”.

An influencer who was “stared at in disgust” while wearing a denim skirt and crop top at Woolies has shared her anger.

Mikaela Testa was shopping for groceries at a Woolworths store on the Gold Coast when she claims fellow shoppers made rude remarks about her outfit choice.

The 21-year-old, who regularly shares photos wearing skimpy outfits with her 1.3 million Instagram followers, said the encounter left her feeling “sad and anxious”, adding it is not the first time she has been accosted in public over her clothing choices.

“It makes me very sad and gives me huge anxiety with going out in public wearing anything hot,” she told news.com.au.

“I actually got into an altercation with a women and her husband at a local shopping centre a month or so ago about the same issue.

“It’s definitely something that happens a lot in public around the Gold Coast.”

Mikaela shared a video on TikTok detailing the outfit, a denim mini skirt, with a crop top, pink cardigan and clear perspex heels.

The video, shared with her 630,000 TikTok followers, shows her walking through the supermarket’s busy aisles, claiming she was “stared at by every single grandma in disgust” over the ensemble, which she said was 2000s inspired.

However, the social media star – who makes a living selling X-rated content on OnlyFans – had followers quickly leap to her defence, describing the outfit as “amazing”.

“MIK, I LOVE YOUR OUTFIT SO MUCH,” one wrote.

“You looked amazing queen,” another said.

While one fan raged: “You looked good. F**k judgemental people.”

It’s not the first time a woman has received unsolicited commentary on her outfit in public, sparking outrage.

Last August a Sydney woman was told to “cover up” or leave the gym over her “scrunch bum” bike shorts.

While a woman in the UK was previously told her pants were “too short” for the supermarket.
