Videos have emerged of huge snaking queues in shopping centres outside a fashion retailer as shoppers try to snag a popular product.

Wild queues for popular $39 item

Wild scenes of shoppers queuing outside an Australian store to get their hands on a popular $39 item have been shared online.

Women were seen lining up outside Glassons stores following a re-release of its $39.99 “Lace Bustier Corset Top” on Sunday.

The launch coincided with Melbourne retail reopening, but similar scenes were also seen in Sydney and shared on TikTok.

“Glassons line longer than revs on a Sunday morning,” one user captioned

While another shared a video asking why people were lining up.

“It’s for that blue corset they’re raving about,” one replied.

“Everyone is fighting for the last blue corset,” another added.

“That blue corset sold out in first 5 minutes,” one woman claimed.

Another user shared her friend’s desperate rush to snag one of the popular lacy tops, writing: “@sophadophaa causing riot in melbs to get the famous blue corset.”

Those lucky enough to get their hands on the item wasted no time sharing glamorous photos wearing the skimpy garment on Instagram prompting “jealous” reactions.

“I’m stealing that top,” one commented.

“You got the Glassons corset,” another said.

“So jealous,” one added.

The retailer has yet to respond to news.com.au’s requests to confirm whether the popular top will be restocked for a third time.

Online the item is still in stock in white, black and a pale blue. If you are keen to get one, the $40 item requires gentle care, with directions stating it is “hand wash”.
