Underboob bikini: Extreme fashion trend hits swimwear

While we have seem some pretty wild and out-there fashion and swimwear trends, perhaps this reality star’s look tops the list.

Revealing upside down bikini trend takes over social media

When Gold Coast influencer Anna Paul stepped out for a friend’s birthday last month in a skimpy gold halter-neck outfit, it seemed like the underboob trend had reached its limits.

But not for long.

Former Love Island contestant Margarita Smith this week took it up a notch by combining the racy halter-neck look with another trend — the barely-there bikini — to create what is possibly the most revealing swimsuit yet.

Smith left her Instagram followers in shock when she shared a snap posing during a holiday in Cairns in far north Queensland.

The 26-year-old’s bikini featured a halter-neck design, similar to Paul’s metallic gold “underboob” dress, and teamed it with a matching G-string bottom.

“This look is unreal,” one follower commented.

“Insane babe,” a second fan wrote, while a third simply said: “Unreal.”

Australian fashion brand White Fox Boutique recently reported “overwhelming” sales of its “Special Moment Scarf Wrap top”, which retails for $29.95.

The racy style is available in nine colours and caused a frenzy when it hit the e-tailer’s digital shelves last month.

Women have since shared snaps of themselves on social media wearing the top and the matching $44.95 skirt to dinners, the beach and brunch dates.

And the same has been happening with Margarita’s racy bikini by online retailer Miss Zed Shop, with fellow influencers also sharing snaps and boasting about swimsuits unique design.

Margarita is no stranger to sharing a racy bikini snap with most of her Instagram feed dominated by images of her in eye-catching designs.

In fact, she almost suffered a wardrobe malfunction when she posed in a skimpy turquoise two-piece.

The Victorian-based influencer took to her Instagram Stories in February, almost losing her bottoms after tugging at its string features.

“BAHAHAHHA,” she captioned the short clip, where she was then seen quickly trying to tie the piece back together and shutting the camera off.

In an interview with Daily Mail Australia in 2019 — the same year she appeared on Love Island, she spoke openly about having had a nose job and breast implants.

“I’ve always been a really confident person, my whole life. I’ve never actually sat there and thought, “Oh, I don’t like this’,’ she told the publication.

“I liked my boobs before. I thought they were fantastic! But, to be honest, I’ve always liked that dolled up, fake look.

“Initially I thought, ‘Do I want it? Do I not?’ and then I thought, ‘S**t, yeah, I want it!’ I love it. It’s just how I want to portray myself, but I’m confident in who I am, 100 per cent.”
