TikTok users baffled by Savage X Fenty ‘open-back’ leggings

A pair of leggings has gone viral on TikTok after one shopper pointed out an eyebrow raising detail and demanded answers.

Just when you thought you had seen it all, along comes a very unique-looking pair of tights that feature an eyebrow raising design.

Images of the purple leggings have found their way onto social media after a shopper was so confused by its booty detail, she couldn’t help but share it on TikTok.

The woman, who goes by the handle @fathermarge, has clocked more than 3.2 million views on her video, which shows the leggings’ “playful surprise”.

“WE NEED ANSWERS,” her caption reads.

The soft mesh tights feature a crisscross cross design that exposes your behind and the racy look has attracted plenty of attention online.

“OK, so I was on Fabletics to see their months outfit because I had a credit to use,” the shopper began her now viral video.

“Umm … Can someone at Fabletics tell me what this is? Things are getting a little bit crazy.”

While the shopper says the leggings belong to Fabletics, an activewear brand co-founded by actress Kate Hudson, many who work for the brand were quick to point out it in fact belongs to Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty range.

The website describes the $68.50 item as being perfect for a “cozy night in”.

“Our Soft Mesh Open-Back Crotchless Legging features sheer soft mesh fabric that provides a comfortable fit and an open strappy back for a playful surprise,” the product description reads.

And it’s the tights’ “playful” feature that has got TikTok users asking “why”.

“This can’t be real,” one woman said.

“Crackleavage,” another added, while a third said: “Ohhhh hell nah”.

Others couldn’t quite believe the unique design.

“I was thinking maybe it was backwards but then I realised that wouldn’t work either LMAO,” one TikTok user commented.

But for some, the controversial item wasn’t so bad.

“NO WAY I need that,” one woman wrote.

“I like it LOL,” a second person added.

The mesh leggings also come with matching underwear that feature the same crisscross cross design on the rear.

“It is pretty clear these aren’t the type of leggings you are going to wear to the grocery store, but as something sexy and different for around the house or to sleep in? These are unique, flattering, and really pretty!” one woman wrote in the reviews section of the website.

“I love the back detail and even the crotchless design, you can wear panties under them or go commando and both are comfy options.”
