Model Lara Worthington has shared a series of candid snaps to social media in an unexpected move that has surprised friends and fans.

The model recently relocated back to Australia after living in Los Angeles with actor husband Sam Worthington and their three kids – and since then has been keeping busy with work commitments.

But the 34-year-old, who was announced as the new Swisse beauty ambassador last year, has taken a break from sharing her work with her one million Instagram followers, instead sharing a string of rather relaxed photos.

In the images, Lara appears to be in a hotel room and is seen surrounded by huge piles of unpacked clothes, shoes and sunglasses.

The mum-of-three is rocking a pair of grey suit pants with a lilac cropped shirt – putting her athletic achievements on full display.

Friends and fans were quick to comment on her “insane abs”, some asking how she achieved them while others simply laid on praise.

“Hello there strong girl,” Byron-based model Elyse Knowles commented.

“Excuse me abs for days,” Sarah Kohan, also a well-known model, wrote.

While Australian blogger Nicole Warne tagged Lara in the snaps and asked: “How does she do it!?”

Regular followers of the 2006 ‘Where the bloody hell are ya?’ Tourism Australia campaign star also flooded the comments section, describing Lara as a “hot mama” and labelling her outfit “flawless”.

“What a bod. Fit and strong, love it lady,” one wrote.

“I definitely wore this outfit in 1998,” another said.

In the photos, which show Lara in an array of casual positions around the room, her signature blonde bob is styled in loose waves.

Her nod to the ’90s is continued with her choice in footwear, a black pair of what appear to be pointed boots.

The relaxed images are a stark contrast to the rest of the snaps on her Instagram feed, which show her posing for a variety of brand campaigns and plugging partnership deals.

Lara, who has sons Rocket, 6, Racer, 4, and River, 1, with husband Sam, most recently announced a new line of sunglasses with Local Supply, a brand that focuses on sustainability.

Lara x Local Supply is a “creative and conscious collaboration” that has already proved popular with shoppers, as the presale “sold out” on March 2, she wrote on her Instagram.

It officially launches on March 16 with frames retailing for $225.

Thankfully, Lara hasn’t been all work and no play since returning home, with the Cronulla-born model being spotted enjoying the beach several times in the last few months.
