Kmart’s new $35 winter essential stuns shoppers: ‘Obsessed’

A savvy shopper has found a budget version of an expensive winter essential, stating she’s “obsessed” by the affordable item.

There are some wardrobe items you just can’t survive winter without – and a pair of boots tops that list for many.

The problem is, the everyday essential can be expensive, not to mention uncomfortable if you’re wearing a heeled version.

But one savvy shopper has discovered a pair of black heeled boots that she is “obsessed with” – and they cost just $35.

Gold Coast woman Tobie Jean shared her recent Kmart find in a video online, declaring the budget retailer had “done it again”.

In the TikTok video, Tobie shows off her purchase, before going on to demonstrate how she styles them with a short black mini-dress and a cream trench coat.

“I’m obsessed,” she captioned the clip – which has been viewed almost 50,000 times – along with the hashtag “kmartfinds”.

Users of the popular social media platform were quick to flood Tobie’s video with questions, asking everything from the comfort of the shoe to the quality of the material.

“Do they fall apart after one wear?” one asked.

“Are they comfy?” another said, as someone else asked for information on the shoe’s material, writing: “Pls let us know the quality.”

“Does it hurt after wearing some time? Cause I wanna go clubbing in them but I’m scared,” another asked.

In response, Tobie said the shoes were “actually so good”, prompting many to state: “OMG, I must copy.”

“I’M BUYING THEM,” one wrote.

“Looks like I’m going back to Kmart,” another woman said.

Kmart Australia said the shoes featured in Tobie’s video were the brand’s “Long Smart Boots” which hit stores across the country about three weeks ago.

“This style of boot has been loved by our customers as it is incredibly versatile,” a spokesperson told news.com.au.

“It can easily transform an outfit from day to night – either styling this boot with jeans or a knit for a casual daytime look or alternatively with a dress and a coat for a more sophisticated outfit.

“It would also look incredible paired back a dress and blazer.”
