Imogen Anthony has said she doesn’t dress for ‘venues’

A 33-year-old Aussie model has revealed the wild outfit she’ll just wear out for a meal and why she doesn’t dress for “venues.”

What should you wear to a nice restaurant? The answer used to be jeans and a nice top, but Australian model Imogen Anthony takes a more elevated approach.

Anthony, 33, who has over 200,000 followers and dated Kyle Sandilands for eight years, posted quite the fashion confession on Instagram.

“I don’t dress according to season, occasion or venue,” she wrote.

Accompanying her caption was a photo of the 33-year-old wearing a black bodysuit with multiple cut-outs and a floor-length denim skirt with quite a few holes.

She was also wearing a very chunky belt, combat boots, and a coat that looked like it had been stolen from The Almost Famous set.

It is difficult to accurately describe the look, although one fan gave it a red hot go and called the outfit “Shakira vibes.”

The outfit was definitely a look, and it’s clear that Ms Anthony is embracing all the 2000s trends that people threw out and that Gen Zers are now reclaiming.

The backdrop for Anthony’s iconic photo wasn’t an early 2000s tribute night party but a swish restaurant.

You know, the kind with tablecloths and a stocked bar in the background.

Of course, her fans were all for it on her Instagram.

Someone called the look a “slay”, another begged her to “please keep doing you”, and someone else commented, “Love it.”

Further afield online, others weren’t so sold on the outfit.

Someone wrote that “2006 called and wants its outfit back” and another said it was proof she had “hideous taste” and the outfit didn’t make her look clean.

Besides Anthony’s fun dress sense, she occasionally makes headlines for her cryptic Instagram posts that lead to more questions than answers.

For example, last year, just days after her ex Sandilands married Tegan Kynaston, she took to Instagram to discuss why you should never settle in relationships.

“You’ll never know heaven until you’ve been to hell,” she began in a lengthy post.

She added that she aims to make her life a “special one” and her plan is to live “under zero control of others, doing and being as I please with no ill intent.”

It kept going.

“It’s not my fault if someone didn’t know how to treat or appreciate something while they had it,” she wrote.

Anthony added that if “someone else is willing to settle” than that is on them but that just isn’t for her.

Sandilands had previously appeared on Mia Freedman’s podcast No Filter and said the split was partly due to their 19-year- age gap.

“It’s not as if we couldn’t get on. It’s just I was going into my twilight years, and she was just becoming a woman,” he explained.
