A budget-friendly summer clothing item from one of the country’s most popular retailers has gone viral on social media, with fans calling it the “best bargain of the year”.
Kmart released the Satin Tie mini dress for just $25, with the frock available in chocolate with polka dots and plain black.
The sleeveless dress has quickly captured attention online.
Dominique, who goes by the handle @dominique.jolee, said it was “cute” but admitted she wasn’t the target demographic for the mini dress.
“I am one enthusiastic sneeze away from a cheek falling out,” she said, revealing it also exposed her bra.
“I am wearing a size 14 here but I’d definitely size up to a 16.”

Meanwhile, @EmKelly54 modelled the chocolate polka dot and the black version for her followers. She said the brand “came to play” with the $25 item.
Laura Lloyd said the fun frock was her “best bargain find of the year”.
“This dress was $25. I actually die like, it’s so cute. I am obsessed with polka dots and the lace is a vibe at the moment,” she said.
“I’m literally obsessed. If you haven’t seen these, run to Kmart cause they will not last long.”
Meanwhile others shared videos of themselves trying on the dress or dancing to various songs while modelling it.
“It’s out if stock everywhere I go,” one social media user lamented.
Another celebrated: “Yesssss just bought this!”
“Nooooo you shouldn’t have shown me this I want it so bad now,” someone commented.

One said: “I just got this in black and it’s stunning! you’re absolutely pulling it off sis.”
A Kmart spokesperson told news.com.au the dress has proved to be incredibly popular among shoppers.
“Polka dots are a classic print that never goes out of style and our customers are well and truly embracing the trend this season,” a Kmart spokesperson told news.com.au.
“We’re seeing the brown and white polka dot Satin Tie Dress fly off the shelves with shoppers loving the print, cut and soft satin fabric, with many impressed with its up-market feel for the $25 price tag.
“We’re seeing this dress fly off the shelves around the country, so get in quick if you want to snap it up.”
It’s far from the only polka dot piece that Kmart is offering in their latest apparel drop, with a skirt in a similar print also attracting plenty of attention.
Kmart fashion has become a huge hit in recent months, with their Boho Broderie Corset Mini dress in a yellow floral as well as a white, available in sizes six to 20, going viral in August.
The design also comes in a sleeveless boho ruffle top and a matching ruffle skirt, which retails for $18 and $20 respectively.
The $28 corset mini dress has proven to be a hit with customers, who have rushed in to get their hands on the summer item.
One social media user, @likejameyj, said she “loved” her new purchase. She paired the dress with a simple silver necklace and earrings, as well as a pair or short caramel cowboy boots.
Kate, who runs @behealthywithkate, also shared a snap of the dress to social media.
“Okay. Kmart has some new arrivals,” she said.
“Slaying spring/summer already.”
