A 22-year-old rugby star has turned heads on the red carpet at the sport’s night of nights after she took home the player of the year award in a plunging dress.
Maddison Levi, who plays rugby sevens, was one of the many faces at the Rugby Australia Awards at Royal Randwick Racecourse on Wednesday.
The award winner, who confessed it took her the longest to get ready for the event, dazzled on the red carpet in a plunging halter neck dress.
The form fitting white ensemble, which she hired, was gathered under the bust and an extra piece of material created a three dimensional look.
She paired the look with black sandal heels and a gold Dior necklace.
One fan of the look said: “Maddison Levi, you are such a babe.”
Another said: “Maddi is killing.”
Levi also posed alongside fellow player Tia Hinds, who wore a classic dark green dress for the event. She also opted for black sandal heels, allowing her dark blonde hair to fall around her face.
Meanwhile Teagan Levi wore a strapless satin dress with a daring thigh-high split in it. She wore pointed nude heels and a matching bag.
Desiree Miller, who made her debut against England in 2023, wore a one shoulder satin dress for the event.
The red ensemble was backless, which photographers captured as she turned her back to the camera.
Her brunettes hair was styled in a ponytail and she finished the look with a white handbag.
Kaitlin Shave, who was picked for the squad ahead of the Paris Olympics earlier this year, also opted for a pop of colour in her outfit.
Shave, who posed alongside Mitchell Bell on the red carpet, who a strapless lemon dress that was sheer on the abdomen. It then flowed into a layered skirt. She paired the look with tan open toe heels and a matching clutch.
Meanwhile Tabua Tuinakauvadra, 21, wore a pop of green for the event. The dress had a triangle bust before falling into a straight skirt. She wore white heels and a two-tone bag with the outfit.
Siokapesi Palu, who first played for Australia in the 2021 Rugby World Cup, wore a figure hugging black dress for the event. It allowed the 28-year-old’s accessories — her clear shoes with a diamond bow and adorable white and black pouch bag — to shine.
Faith Nathan, 24, opted for a softer look for the event. She wore a strapless baby pink dress for the event. She paired it with pointed white heels and a white handbag.
Other members of the team equally went for bold colour on the red carpet.
Players wore everything from brown, black, maroon, silver and lime green for the awards night. Daring cut outs and sheer panelling were also part of the looks for the evening.
Fans had a lot to say about the player’s looks. One social media user said: “Modern day Amazonian warriors. Scoring on and off the battlefield!”
One simply said: “Stunning.”
“Stunning on and off the field ladies! Beautiful strong wore. K️eep being amazing,” one said.
“The next generation are watching their role models.”
